Tariffs

 A distinction is made between emoluments, which relate to ministerial activity, fees, which relate to ancillary activities, and disbursements.

Emoluments

With regard to emoluments, the notary is subject to an imperative legal tariff. These are the amounts charged for the actual instrumentation of the authentic deed and are set by cantonal legislation.

Fees

The notary's fees are charged for advisory services and for all operations not related to the authentication of the deed itself. The notary sets her fees within the limits set by the law.

Disbursements

In the case of disbursements, these are amounts paid by the notary on behalf of her clients to authorities, for example, and for which she claims reimbursement.
